We are here mostly for the scenery, so be prepared for lots of pictures (again!). And, I encourage every one of you to see Utah - it is unbelievable! First up is Canyonlands National Park. The drive up there was about 30 miles - very scenic.
When you reach Canyonlands, it feels like the earth opens up in front of you.
The road ends at Grand View Point, where you overlook the canyon where the Colorado River has wound its way through for many years.
We walked all the way around the point at Grand View - there were people there, but not the crowds we have seen driving up into Arches. We also noticed that there were a number of foreign visitors.
We met a very nice Chinese man and his family - he was kind enough to take this picture of us at Grand View Point.
Next stop - Dead Horse Point State Park - with a name like
that, I couldn't resist.
